It is a fun movie and should be appreciated for all its child-impressive, I-wish-I-was-a-thief heists and getaways as well as the "Catch Me If You Can" rip-off criminal, police relationship. The story alternates seamlessly between song / dance numbers and scenes of romance, action and broad comedy which is complimentary of, and emphasizes, the "emotional" journey we feel for the characters.
There are too many questionable holes in the timeline and plot to begin to discuss but if you let yourself get swept into the stunning soundtrack and athletically impressive dance sequences you may not even notice. Including, of course, moments of questionable CGI and action scenes but it wouldn't be the same if it weren't. It is also incredibly heartfelt and brings a such modern take on Bollywood films.
